The word Shalom was orginally used as a term of peace in the sense of hostility. It was used to describe harmony in relationships and for good health. It is a modern day greeting used either in the context of hello or goodby.

This Carved Slate plaque is 4” tall and 12” wide, and approximately 1/4” thick. Typically, these slate shingles are used for roofing, and last 100 years.

You can choose the color of the letters from the selection below. Gray is illustrated in the photo above..

A leather cord is provided for hanging, or use the two mounting holes to secure it to a wall.
